In line with our previous visit to Federal Government College, Enugu and following up on the discussion with the school administration about strengthening the environmental club of the school, the Advocacy for Sustainable Livelihood Foundation (ASLF) has officially relaunched the Environmental Club of the school.
Student Leaders Take Charge
As part of the relaunch, students elected and inaugurated their Executive Council. These are young leaders who are ready to champion environmental sustainability and inspire change within their school and beyond. The election process was student-led, fostering a sense of ownership and democratic participation. The newly inaugurated executives represent diverse interests and are committed to driving the club's vision forward.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
The club will provide the students with opportunities to learn about environmental protection, leadership, creativity, and entrepreneurship through practical activities and projects. Members of the club will discover how simple actions can make a big difference and how waste can be transformed into valuable resources. From recycling workshops to community clean-up campaigns, the club's programmes are designed to be hands-on and impactful.
